Leviticus 23:15-22

Join me tonight in the Old Testament book of Leviticus chapter 23. Prior to entering the Promised Land ... God designated seven special holidays for the children of Israel to observe once they arrived in the land.

We read in Lev 23.1 that these seven feasts were ''His Days.'' We read in verse 1, ''... The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.'' Now if they were His feasts .. why would God instruct the children of Israel to observe them? So that they would look back thanking God for his provision and to look forward trusting God for his provision. Thanking Him and Trusting Him.

But not only were they ''His Days'' ... they were also ''Holy Days.'' We read in verse 4, ''These are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations ..'' You say, ''Wait a minute! How could these seven feasts tell the story of Jesus? They were OT and what does the OT have to do with Jesus?'' Folks .. the OT .. like the NT ... has everything to do with Jesus! That's what makes the OT alive and exciting!

Let me show you what I mean. We read i ...
