Luke 24:36
I think this has been a wonderful day. God is blessing and I am just so thankful to Him for what He is doing in the life of our church. I am amazed at how the Lord wants to use us. And it is really fantastic that God would choose us, that God would put His hand upon us and say, I want to use this church and I want to use your individual lives. And that is exactly what God is saying.
I believe that now, as never before we need to march forward for the glory of God. We need to claim a city for Christ. We need to claim lost people for Jesus. All over this city there are people for whom nobody has cared. And we need to care and reach them. And I pray that this week you will care about what God wants you to do. That you will pray about what the Lord wants you to do, more than that just be a vessel that God can use this week.
And when we do that we are going to see this auditorium packed Sunday after Sunday. We will see people coming to Christ, people walking these aisles and God will be honored and glorified, lives will be changed and the homes of people that we reach for the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is what God wants us to do. And I believe that God wants us to go on from here. I am excited about what is happening for the Lord’s work in our church.
I want to invite your attention to the Word of God in Luke 24. And I want to preach on the subject ‘‘Jesus Lives - Hallelujah!’’ And here the disciples had gathered and are talking about the resurrection appearances of Jesus Christ. And while there is some doubt, Jesus puts all of their doubts to an end.
Luke 24:36 (KJV) ‘‘And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you’’.
