I am amazed at one of God's display of grace in nature. There is one activity that I believe is God's mini motion picture of a sinner becoming a saint or a pagan turning into a preacher.

That one thing is the transformation of a caterpillar into a gorgeous butterfly. A Caterpillar a prickly is a lazy self-centered bug and it works hard to go no where. Little boys love to quash with their new height-tech tennis shoes.

Little girls run away with an irritating shriek to their voice.

But in a grace moment; in some pre-ordained time something happens a thick film covers the caterpillar and entombs itself in its own flesh.

A chemical reaction changes their very atomic make-up of the creature. This is known as the Chrysalis period...
And soon the emerging butterfly can be seen within and it spreads it s wings and begins to kick off its' old life and begin its new one. This life cycle is known as a metamorphism.

Our subject for this morning is "How to Kick the old life and put on the new one."

One of the most important phrases you will find in the bible is two little words –"in Christ." Paul the apostle said in Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live but yet not I but it is Christ that liveth in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave His life for me, yet I love yet not I- Christ liveth in me. Christ lives in me.

What does that really mean? What does that mean that Christ can live in us? And the life we live in the flesh we can live it by the faith of the Son of God.

It just simply means that in Christ there can be a brand new experience. It just simply means that in Christ there can be a brand new life style. In Christ there is a new faith, In Christ there is a brand new hope, in Christ there is brand new love, in Christ there is victory.

In Christ there can be a brand new power. In Christ ...
