January is a fascinating month. Did you know that? It's a fascinating month because statistics tell us that January is the month where people attempt to make more changes in their lives than any other time of the year. It has to do with the close of one year and the beginning of a new.

It's a time when we try to start new things and the vast majority of people also run headlong into the fact that they don't do very well with their New Year's resolutions.

Now why is that?

ALL PEOPLE ARE SEARCHING FOR A NEW BEGINNING. HOW?

Through resolutions
Changing jobs
Working two jobs to obtain more material goods.
Extramarital affairs.
''Maucho image''-being something they are not!
Increase in drugs and alcohol
Always buying new things

ALL PEOPLE ARE SEARCHING FOR NEW BEGINNINGS!!

God was aware that we all needed new beginnings! In fact He granted that for us in Christ Jesus!

2 Cor 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJV

I want you to know that really all new beginnings begin with Jesus Christ.
Born again-means to be born from above, or born anew!
Greek word, ''anoothen''-beginning

He is the only one that really makes you realize that you need to start over.

But aren't you tired of starting over again and again and never really succeeding in this new beginning desire.

How many of you understand that there is a process to change!
In my scripture text this morning there is not only the understanding of a new beginning but also the understanding that it is progressive.

New beginnings don't happen instantly!

God could deliver us immediately from whatever we face but he chooses not to.
Because it is in the struggle that true change really happens.

God told the nation of Israel that He would not destroy the inhabitants of the land of promise in one stroke lest the wild ani ...
