Story!
If a very wealthy man befriended you and paid off all your debts and gave you $100,000 extra. He genuinely said to you that there are no strings attached but I have seen you struggle in your financial life and I want to do this for you.
1. What would be your attitude be towards that person?
2. Why?
3. What difference would that make in you're the way you handle finances in the future?
Now Paul says:
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Based on all that he has said:
1. Maintain the right attitudes! 4:2-6.
2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit- just as you were called to one hope when you were called-
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. NIV
2. Recognize the value and source of your gifts! 4:7-12,
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
