Running is the most common characteristic of man when he is in distress or trouble or just afraid..
King David wanted to run from the troubles of life!

Ps 55:4-7
4 My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death assail me.
5 Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.
6 I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest--
7 I would flee far away and stay in the desert.(NIV)

We run from Creditors!
Ignore phone calls!
Ignore warnings!
We run from difficult relationships

We run from the IRS!

Running complicates the problems of life and delays the inevitable!

It is the dumbest thing we can really do!
It complicates the problems of life.

Jonah was no different that the rest of us!
He was running from God!
The Downward spiral in running!
It is like being entangled in fishing net!
Or a cat in a ball of wool!
It only gets worse!
It exacerbates the problem!
Let us learn the lesson of these verses of this story!
