Introduction:
God wants His people to be happy!
They must make a decision to "Rejoice"
You have the ability to set the tone for your whole outlook on life.
You can make decision to "rejoice"!
Jesus was a happy person!
He was always rejoicing in what was good!
FACT: Jesus wants you to live in peace!
It is Christ's desire that we would live in His peace.
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.(NIV)
HOW CAN I HAVE THE PEACE OF CHRIST IN MY LIFE?
I. Maintain Peaceful Relationships
5 "Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near."
One of God's purposes in our lives is to bring us to peace with those around us personally.
The unbeliever does not know the way of peace.
Rom 3:17
17 and the way of peace they do not know."(NIV)
True relationship with God brings peace.
Rom 8:6
6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;
(NIV)
One of the Fruits of the Spirit is Peace.
Gal 5:22
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace...(NIV)
God wants us to establish peaceful relationships.
2 Cor 13:11
11 Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. (NIV)
Peacefulness is a decision:
Rom 12:18
18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.(NIV)
HOW DO I DECIDE TO BE PEACEFUL?
To be peaceful it is important that we:
Value one another. – show respect for one another.
Be compassionate to one another
Be kind to one another.
Be Gentle with on ...
