I want to speak to you on the subject "A Son Is Given". The Bible tells us that a Son is given means that Jesus came down. And I don't think we have ever really grasped the full significance of it and we never will until we get to heaven but Christmas means that Jesus came down from the adorations of heaven to the agonies of earth. Jesus came down from the blessedness of heaven to the agony of the earth. Jesus came down from the coronation of heaven to the cross of the earth. Jesus came down from the delight of heaven to the defamation of the earth. Jesus came down from the Excellency of heaven to the execution of the earth. Jesus came down from the favor of heaven to the fury of the earth. Jesus came down from the hallelujahs of heaven to the hisses of the earth. Jesus came down from the great intercession of heaven to the injustices of earth. Jesus came down from the joys of heaven to the jeers of the earth. Jesus came down from the kindness of heaven to the killing of the earth. Jesus came down from the love of heaven to the lying of the earth. Jesus came down from the nobleness of heaven to the nothingness of the earth. Jesus came down from the quietness of heaven to the qualsomeness of this earth. Jesus came down from the riches of heaven to the reviling of the earth. Jesus came down from the song of heaven to the sneers of the earth. Jesus came down from the throne of heaven to the tree of Mount Calvary. Jesus came down from the unison of heaven to the unjustness of the earth. Jesus came down from the virtue of heaven to the vices of the earth. Jesus came down from the great worship of heaven to the great wrath of unprincipled men. And it means that a Son is given to you and to me to be our Savior and Lord.
