1. One bright, beautiful Sunday morning, everyone in the tiny city of Jonestown woke up to go to their local church. Before the service started, the townspeople sat in their pews to talk about their lives and families. Suddenly, at the altar, the devil himself appeared. Everyone started screaming and running for the front door, trampling each other in their efforts to get away from the Evil Incarnate.

2. Soon, everyone was evacuated from the church except for one man, who sat calmly in his pew, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's arch-enemy was in his presence. This confused Satan a bit, so he walked over and sat down beside the man and asked, "Hey, buddy, don't you know who I am?" The man said, "Yep, sure do." Satan asked, "Well, aren't you afraid of me?" The man said, "Nope, sure ain't!" Satan asked, "And, why aren't you afraid of me?" The man answered, "Because I've been married to your sister for 25 years!"

3. I think of Mrs. Smith who was coming out of church one Sunday, and asked her husband, "Do you think that Johnson girl is tinting her hair?" Mr. Smith said, "I didn't even see her." His wife said, "And, that dress Mrs. Davis was wearing; don't tell me that you think that's the proper outfit for a mother of two?" "I'm afraid I didn't notice that either," said Mr. Smith. His wife continued, "And, that rock of a diamond Mrs. Jones was wearing; now, you can't help but see that is was all a show." Her husband said, "Honey, I'm sorry, I didn't pay any attention." To that, his wife said, "For heaven's sak ...
