Haggai 2:6-7
Today we are going to be looking first of all in the Book of Haggai as we come to the last of our series on ''America In Crisis.'' And today we are talking about ''America In Bible Prophecy.'' Some of you will know a great deal about this and some of you will know a little bit about and some of you may not know too much at all, but hopefully it will be a message that is informative to all of us and will mean something to all of us because it is a very, very important subject, ''America in End Times Prophecy.''
Haggai 2:6-7 ''This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty.''
First of all we want to know what this verse is talking about. This verse is talking about the house of the Lord. When God says He will fill His house with glory. That is what we want God to do with our own personal temple. That is our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. And we want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That is what we want God to do when we meet together as the body of Christ. We want the Holy Spirit to fill us as we meet together. But this is predicting the time when God will literally fill a rebuilt temple with glory as He did when King Solomon first built the temple. You read that when the temple was built by King Solomon that God's presence literally came down. There was smoke, there was fire and God literally filled the house with His presence. And the people knew it and they gave God glory.
In the Book of Haggai, it was the time when the people had come back from Iraq, that is the land of Babylon, present day Iraq, and they didn't have a whole lot of money but they came back and they rebuilt the temple. The temple did not at all achieve the glory or t ...
