If you have your Bibles tonight, I would like for you to turn with me to Joel the second chapter, verse thirty-two. I got into a little trouble this morning with Amos and Joel. Amos kept butting in all the time with Joel in my mind and Louise reminded me of it when I got home. Well, I'm getting a little troubled about that sort of thing now but we're not in Amos, now, we are in Joel and you know that very well and we've worked into the second chapter; this tremendous chapter of this wonderful book of this wonderful prophet of God. Here's one of the great statements in the Bible and tonight I don't think there's going to be any of us that will be able to leave this room without knowing God's plan of salvation and one more time tonight, I count it a privilege to cast the gospel net.

Now that's what I'm doing tonight and I hope that we'll definitely open our hearts to the Lord's word and let Him speak unto our souls. I think that this particular passage of scripture will sound very familiar to you when you hear it and the background of it tonight may bring a blessing to our hearts.

Certainly, the plan of salvation is very clear in it. Verse thirty-two of the book of Joel, chapter two, And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance. As the Lord hath said and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call. It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance or escape, as the Lord hath said and in the remnant, the escaped ones, if you please, whom the Lord shall call. The word delivered here is used twice, be delivered and then deliverance and then the word remnant. All three of these words in Hebrew, carry with it the thought of escaping some terrible danger.
