I Corinthians 1:26-31
I don't know how many college presidents we have today, I don't know how many Miss Texas' we have or how many Miss Americas we have, I don't know how many we have with a super bowl ring, I don't know how many NBA players we have present today, I don't know how many we have in the Fortune 500, I don't know how many we have that the world would truly call a superstar, but I am going to tell you that God needs you today. God wants you and God can use you. And this is what Paul is saying in I Corinthians 1:26. If you have the excuse God cannot use me because I can't sing like so and so, I can't speak like so and so. God can't use me because I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, God can't use me because I didn't get an education or God can't use me because I don't know how to teach, God can't use me because I wasn't the most popular, God can't use me because I am too shy. Well, today I am just going to remove all those excuses with a message from God's word, because God can use you now, God can us you where you are, God can use you like you are.
I Corinthians 1:26-31 "For consider your calling brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. And God has chosen the weak things in the world to shame the things, which are strong. And the base things of the world and to despise God has chosen the things that are not, that He might nullify the things that are. That no man should boast before God, but by His doing you are in Christ Jesus who became to us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. That just as it is written, let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
