Zechariah 14:3-5
We are in stage 7, "The Final Battle" in our series, "Armageddon, The Cosmic Battle of the Ages." This morning we have about 3 or 4 more lessons in this series then we will begin a brand new series. As you know this past week, the last of the books from the "Left Behind" series came out, "The Glorious Appearing." It is a tremendous book and some day in the future we will look forward to teaching the background of that book. In fact we have gotten in to some of the material of "The Glorious Appearing" in the last few weeks as we have been talking about Christ's coming at the end of the Battle of Armageddon. You have to do that if you talk about the end of the Battle of Armageddon because that is when the glorious appearing of Christ happens. It happens at the end of the Battle of Armageddon. The only way the battle of Armageddon can end is if Jesus comes back in His glorious appearing. That is the only way the world can be saved. The only way this world will be saved is for Christ to come, amen? This world is not going to be saved by human ideas, it is not going to be saved by human knowledge or human technology or even human warfare, the only way this old world is going to be saved is by the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the establishment of His kingdom upon this earth. And we have been talking about that for several weeks now in looking at the passages of scripture. I think one of the most exciting passages to believers in all the bible are those that we looked at in the past couple of weeks in Revelation 19, as you see Jesus coming back in power and great glory, crowned with many crowns, clothed with a robe dipped with blood, and the name on His thigh – King of Kings and Lord of Lords, with a sharp two-edged sword that goes out of His mouth and with that sword He smites the nations.
