BRINGING CHILDREN TO JESUS

Mark 10:13-15

Turn with me to the tenth chapter of the Gospel of
Mark, verse 13 thru 15, The service is a little
different this morning, God changes things and He has
brought upon us the solemn realization of how suddenly
we may be taken from this world and into the next.
That is why I wanted our boys and girls to be here
with us today as well as our grown up folk. Mark
10:13,16, we read these words, "And they brought young
children to Him,(that is Jesus) that He should touch
them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought
them. But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased,
and said unto them, (the disciples) Suffer (that means
let) let the little children come unto me, and forbid
them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I
say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom
of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."
Then Jesus turned to the little ones "and took them up
in His arms, put His hands upon them, and blessed
them."

The words of the Lord Jesus Christ in which we read
that Jesus was much displeased with the disciples and
said unto them, "let the little children come unto
me." Jesus displeased with His disciples, the
Apostles, let the little children come unto me. Now
here is a picture, a blessed picture of our blessed
Lord back there when He was on this earth, 1900 years
ago. Here He is teaching the people and there comes
through the throngs of the people some parents with
their little children. They are wanting to bring the
children to Jesus but before they could get the
children to Jesus' very presence, the disciples were
watching around about, and they hindered these parents
from bringing the children to Jesus.

They stopped them. They were trying to keep them from
coming to Jesus. The Lord, in the midst of the whole
crowd, turned around and saw what they were doing in
hindering these child ...
