Night No More
Clarence E. Macartney
Rev. 22:5
Aredeemed soul, recently arrived in heaven, received a
commission from one of the great archangels to go
forth on a mission of power and grace for Almighty
God. Heaven will be more than a vast rest house. There
they go from strength to strength, and great
occupations will be linked with perfect intelligence
and perfect power. The redeemed soul heard with
delight the great task that had been assigned to him
and, having received his final instructions, said to
the archangel, "The sun is already high in the
heavens. I must hasten and be off on my great
undertaking, lest night should overtake me before I
return, and the twelve pearled gates of the city be
closed against me." But the archangel looked upon him
with kind benignance in his countenance and said,
"Spirit, you have forgotten. You are in the land now
where there is no more night, and where the gates of
the city shall not be shut at all by day, for there
shall be no night there."

his drunken revelers. By night we heard the roaring of
the lions and saw Daniel delivered out of their mouth
for his loyalty to God. By night we heard Peter go out
and weep bitterly. By night we saw King Saul enter
into the cave of the Witch of Endor and hear the doom
that Samuel pronounced upon him. By night we saw
Paul's ship crash on the rocks of Malta. By night we
heard the crash of the earthquake at Philip ...
