The police shows always fascinate me, especially when a ''bug'' is planted on someone. Usually you will find the police sitting in a communications van listening to every word of the criminal, who actually hangs himself by his own words. What if your mind could be ''bugged'' for six weeks and then you listened to every word and every thought. Would the results be negative or positive? Is it not a good possibility that your own words are defeating you? Wimpy thinking produces a weak and wasted life of self-defeating attitudes and actions.

''You are not what you think you are. But what you think, you are.''

Happiness and unhappiness are formed from the inside out. The happiness of your life will depend, more than anything else, on the quality of your thoughts. Thoughts develop into words and words develop into behavior. Without thoughts things just don't happen. Everything we do in life, good or bad, begins with a thought. It is an absolute truth that happiness begins in the mind and eventually effects everything else. Dr. Aaron Beek, in his book, Cognitive Therapy and Emotiona,l Disorders, give three psychological principles inherent in our thoughts. He says:

1. All your moods are created by your thoughts - the way you feel right now is because of the thoughts you have at this moment.

2. When you feel depressed and stressed out it is because your thoughts are dominated by negative, critical thinking.

3. Negative thoughts nearly always contain gross distortions.

It is impossible to experience genuine happiness without first mastering your thoughts. Thoughts are importantly powerful and will make the dynamic difference in your life.
