17Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and thefields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

1.God is my salvation: You need God plus nothing. Lose all but still have God.

2.God is my strength: Circumstances my show you poverty yet when God is in control, circumstances are not in control.

3.God is my source.

Steward: One who has received a trust from God and is in partnership with God in all the Father is doing in our world (2 Peter 1:3-4; 1 Cor. 3:9)

Truth: God measures my trustworthiness by how I manage what He has given me at this present time.

Myself: (Surrender) Have I given my life to God? How much of it?

e.g. People say, ''I really have it all together except in this one area of giving and one day I'll get that straightened out. Listen, Satan will use that one area as a beach head and from there he will mess with every area of your life. Keep God at arms length.

e.g. Pet tiger - Rent you my house.
