You can never see the sun rise by looking to the west. How we position ourselves makes all the difference in the world. Let me give you basic principles. You find what you are looking for. You see things are not as we see them but as we are ourselves. What we are looking for is what we are determined to find. There is always a choice. We can resist or we can receive.
The choice is ours. Resisting or receiving, grateful or complaining, being grateful or contented, or being discontented. It is our choice. A classic example in literatureis King Midas where you get the phrase the "Midas Touch". This King was not satisfied with the amount of gold that he had. And so he requested that the Gods turn everything that he touched into gold. And the gods granted that request. So he touched a beautiful flower and it immediately turned to gold.
He kissed his little daughter, the apple of his eye, and she turned into a statue of gold. And everything he touched, literally turned to gold. Miserable and desperation he cried out to the gods and begged them to reverse hiswish. Let me tell you what the real midas touch is. It is a thankful heart.
