Friends of Jesus: We Were His Parents, Mary and Joseph

Introduction:
I think one of the most interesting things to imagine would be this: What if people who lived with or were touched by Jesus Christ had the opportunity to tell us about their encounters from their vantage point in eternity. Each encounter would be its own drama as Jesus influenced their lives with His presence.
Imagine, if Mary and Joseph could come back from eternity and share with us their story. I think that Mary would tell us about "that day" the angel of the Lord made his visit.
I. Mary's story.
A. First of all, I was a virgin.
B. I was espoused (engaged) to a man named Joseph.
C. I lived in a town called Nazareth.
D. I encountered an angel named Gabriel.

E. I was afraid.
F. I was to have a child -- yet a virgin.

G. God would accomplish this.
v. 35
H. God encouraged me.
v. 36-37
I. I accepted my role.
v. 38
J. I visited my cousin, Elizabeth.
K. She confirmed God's statement by Gabriel.

L. I rejoiced.

M. I had to return home.
