THE GREAT DECEPTION
Introduction:
ILL: The stranger in Altus, Utah, early 1880s, came to town. Romans 2:25 tells us about people who exchanged ''The Truth'' for ''a lie.'' He is talking about unbelief and its ultimate consequences.
The ''last days'' as we know them will be characterized by exchanging God's immutable truths for mankind's always changing set of beliefs. Jesus gave a ''broad brush'' picture of these days in Matthew 24. The disciples asked three important questions.

II. The Great Lie -- Supernatural Activity.
Many people are unaware that there are two phases to the Second Coming of Christ.
(1) The Rapture and (2) The Revelation. These two prophetic events are separated by a seven-year interval. The Rapture will come like ''a thief in the night'' -- secretive. The Revelation will be like ''lightening'' -- everyone will see Him.
In the Rapture, Jesus is in the air. In the Revelation, Jesus will stand upon the earth.
The signs in Matthew 24 are to be fulfilled after the Rapture, but they will begin before we leave.
1. False Christ. **No false Messiah had appeared until Israel rejected Jesus. Over 1,200 have claimed to be Christ since 1900. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 -- The false Christ ''who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God...'' The Anti-Christ will rule during the seven-y ...
