The light at the end of the tunnel (27 of 39)
James Merritt
Revelation 14:1-5
Introduction
1. In the last two chapters we have studied we were given a picture of the darkest days spiritually and morally this world will ever experience. We were introduced to the terrible trinity: the devil, the beast, and the false prophet.
2. As we left chapter 13 we left a world united under the banner of the beast. There was a one world government ruled by the beast, and one world religion led by the false prophet. We left an unnumbered multitude of god-fearing, Christ-loving. Spirit-filled saints being slaughtered for refusing to take the mark of the beast and worship Satan.

5. In previous chapters we have been looking through a microscope, examining this terrible period of time known as the great tribulation. We have seen that the great tribulation is a time of fatal persecution, as millions upon millions of believers will die for their faith having "come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb." (rev. 7:14b)
6. We have seen that it will be a time of forceful preaching. We have heard the preaching of god's two witnesses in chapter 11. Here in this chapter we are told of how an angel will preach the gospel to the entire earth and turn many to the lord Jesus Christ. "then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, hav ...
