Revelation 9:1-12


Introduction

1. As you make your way through the revelation you can almost feel the book heat up in your hand. The fires of the tribulation burn hotter with each succeeding chapter. With the opening of the seventh seal we moved into the period of judgment governed by the blowing of the seven trumpets.

2. The first four trumpets are war trumpets. We saw with the blowing of these trumpets god's judgment of the physical earth: the trees, the seas, the rivers, the sun, the moon and the stars. The last three trumpets are woe trumpets. With the blowing of these trumpets we see god's judgment not just on the physical earth, but the judgment and the wrath of god on the populated earth: the world of humanity. Mankind itself is now going to feel the full affects of the wrath of god.

3. With the blowing of the fifth trumpet the door to hell is opened. Smoke bellows forth from that fiery furnace. Out of that smoke and darkness come hideous, horrible, heinous, hurtful demons who invade and attack the entire world.

4. Now that really should not shock you too much. For i believe we are even now being prepared for this age of demonic invasion. There is an increasing interest and awareness of demonism, satanism, witchcraft, magic and the occult, astrologers, fortune tellers and soothsayers have literally tens of millions of people who almost worship at their doorstep. I am convinced that the groundwork is being laid for this demonic invasion that will literally burst upon the world.

5. This invasion will simply be a preparation for the coming of the anti-christ when this invasion is over the world will be ready to be plucked like a piece of ripe fruit. Mankind will lay palm branches in the street and cry, hosanna!" as the anti-christ makes his entrance.
