"All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you"
I'm going to jump right in here this morning, because this is passage that is just full of words for First Baptist Church.
Folks, Verse 6 reminds us that the members of the Christian Church at Colossae, were seeing the Gospel which they had heard, the Gospel which was in their hearts, the Gospel of Hope, we're once again reminded as the Bible always does, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was having an effect... and it was constantly Bearing Fruit AND it was Growing
You know, folks, as a nation with our military men and women engaged in a battle against evil doers, and as we draw closer to Easter, we should really be encouraged by this Gospel...because this Gospel of Hope that Paul is writing of is the same Gospel of Hope that we too have heard...it is the same Gospel of Hope which told us about how much God loves us, and how because of that love, He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to come and die on a cross to pay the price of our own personal sins so that we might have the hope of salvation by accepting that gift of salvation from God through Jesus Christ.
And that should be an encouragement regardless of whether there are wars and rumors of wars.
You see, folks, our Lord's Gospel message of Hope is a powerful Gospel...
it a message that gives hope;
it is a message that gives life;
it is a message that strengthens;
it is a message that shapes;
it is a message that corrects;
it is a message that instructs;
it is a message that leads to salvation in Jesus Christ...
it is a very special message...
and it is one that has been entrusted to each one of us who has been born again.
But what is really amazing and is that when the Word of God, this Gospel of Hope, is allowed to wo ...
