With our nation involved in war, what kind of emotions are you experiencing? With the drums of war beating, and rumors of war, such as nuclear threats coming from North Korea, and terrorist threats against our nation, what are you thinking?
Are you just a bit stressed out? Is there some fear in your life right now? Are you just a bit apprehensive? Or maybe you're just fatalistic, and say, oh well, whatever will be will be?
All of us are experiencing some kind of emotions...and for a lot of people, they have no idea where to turn or how to handle this current situation. To help us deal with this, most of us talk to friends and family about the current world situation.
Gini and I have talked some about it ourselves. We've also been praying, as most of you probably have as well. I personally believe that we're getting close to the Lord's return, but we need to remember that times such as these are only the beginnings of the 'birth-pangs'...Jesus says, "such things MUST happen, BUT...(did you hear that?) BUT, the end is still to come"
The Bible says that such things must occur.
Listen to what Jesus told us in "Matthew 24:6 which says, You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come." (NIV)
Listen to how the Message Bible puts it... "Matthew 24:6 When reports come in of wars and rumored wars, keep your head and don't panic. This is routine history; this is no sign of the end."
Does this say that we're NOT to be concerned? NO. Some of us may have some friends or family members in the military and we're concerned about them. Rightly so.
Some of us probably have kids and grandkids, and we're concerned that ...
