Deuteronomy 32:4

A Study of the Covenant Love of God

Love, that will not let me go! Those are the words of
a great song. I don't know just exactly what was in
the heart of the writer, but I do know there is a
great word in the Bible that brought to mind that
song, "0 Love, that will not let me go!" Many times we
seem to want to go away from God, but God's Love
tracks us down. God's Love follows us. God will NOT
LET US get away from Him. God's Covenant Love is the
thought we have in this study, God's Covenant Love
toward Israel.

In Deuteronomy 29:1 God says, "These are the words of
THE COVENANT which the Lord commanded Moses to make
with the children of Israel." Verse 12, "That thou
shouldest ENTER INTO COVENANT with the Lord thy God

thee this day, that He may establish thee today for a
people unto Himself, that He may be unto thee a God as
He hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac

Israel's salvation, verse 15. Verse 18, "Of the Rock
that begat thee thou art unmindful, and thou hast
forgotten God that formed thee." Verse 30, "How can
one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to
flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord
had shut them up?" Verse 37, speaking of the idols of
the heathen nations, "Where are their gods, their rock
(small r) in whom they trusted?" So the word ROCK is
an important word, used OF GOD. You remember the
Psalmist said, "Let the words of my mouth and the
meditations of my heart be ac ...
