GOD'S LAW OF SOWING AND REAPING
Jesse M. Hendley
Galatians 5:7

In Galatians 5:7 we read, "Be not deceived: God is not
mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also
reap."

"Turn Up The Nose"

Don't let anybody deceive you: GOD IS NOT MOCKED. The
word mocked is from the Greek word mukteridzo and it
comes from mukter meaning "nose." It means literally,
"to turn up the nose at someone in disdain." But God
says He is not mocked. Nobody ever turns up the nose
at God! And, "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he
also reap." This is THE LAW of Sowing and Reaping.

"Sowing"

This truth is found many, many times in the Bible. If
you take your Bible and look up the words sow, sowing,
soweth, sower, and related words, you will learn much
about what God has to say concerning sowing and
reaping. For example, we read, "A sower went forth to
sow."

Do you know something? Every one of us is SOWING in
words and thoughts and acts everyday, and someday
there is going to be a harvest. We are going to REAP
at the end of life that which we have thought and said
and done. You are a sower, and I am a sower. You are
going to have a harvest, and I am going to have a
harvest. We'd better take care what we sow, so that
our harvest will be one we really want.

Jesus, a Sower of Good Seed

The Lord Jesus Himself was a sower. In one of His
great parables He said, "He that soweth the Good Seed
is the Son of Man." Aren't you glad that Jesus, was
the Great Sower? Aren't you glad He came and sowed the
Word of God and that it has brought forth fruit?

Friends, sometimes I see atheistic, mocking
unbelievers deriding the Bible, discounting the Bible,
not believing the Bible as God's Word. They do not
realize that just about every blessing they enjoy came
to them because of the Word of God and the teachings
of the Lord Jesus and spirituality through Christ.
People generally don't realize that.
