GOD'S ANOINTED ONES

Zechariah 4:2

The Vision

In Zechariah 4:2 we read of a beautiful, seven-
branched candlestick, a lampstand, with an olive tree
on each side of it.

The Candlestick

An angel had come and wakened Zechariah the prophet
and said, "What do you see?" Zechariah said, "I have
looked and, behold, a candlestick, all of gold, with a
bowl upon the top of it, with its seven lamps thereon,

top; and two olive trees, one on the right side of the
bowl and one on the left side." The purpose of a lamp
is to give light. Jesus said, "Ye are the light of the

Zechariah asked, "What mean the two olive branches

power flowing out of them and bringing the Light of
the knowledge of God to others.

The Holy Spirit

laid the foundation of the temple, but it seemed there
would be a hindrance in finishing the house of God
because of the enemies of Israel. Worshippers would
therefore be hindered from worshipping the true and
living God. But God assured them, "Zerubbabel laid the
foundation and his hands will finish it." God's will
and work WILL be accomplished and none can ...
