HEAVEN IS A NOISY PLACE
Jesse M. Hendley
Revelation 8:1
"And suddenly there was with the angel A MULTITUDE OF
THE HEAVENLY HOST PRAISING GOD, AND SAYING, GLORY TO
GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND ON EARTH PEACE, GOOD WILL
TOWARD MEN " Luke 2:8-14
Friends, in conjunction with the above Scripture, I
would like for you to turn to Revelation 8:1, and I
want to speak to you on the subject, "Heaven Is a
Noisy Place." This text in Revelation says, "There was
silence in heaven about the space of half an hour."
Now, you and I are planning on going to heaven. When
you and I plan a visit to Europe or the Holy Land or
other places in this world, we study beforehand about
those places, do we not? We want to become familiar
with them before we visit them. When people move from
one place to another, they always investigate and find
out all they can about the place to which they are
moving. Well, one of these days we are going to move
out of this world, leave it and go into eternity. God
promises to those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN. God's Word says there is a
place called Heaven and a place called Hell. On the
promise of God, I am planning on being in Heaven. Much
of my study of the Bible over the years has been about
Heaven. How much we learn of Heaven in the Book of the
Revelation! More is said about Heaven in the
Revelation than in any other book.
Here in chapter 8, verse 1, is a statement about
Heaven. We are startled by this: "There was silence in
heaven about the space of half an hour."
This says that Heaven grew quiet. We learn therefore
that Heaven is a noisy place! Now I don't mean that in
a bad sense, but in a good sense. Heaven is a place of
sounds! Heaven is a place of merriment! Heaven is a
place of joy! In God's Presence is FULNESS OF JOY.
Heaven is a place of happiness, and its happiness
overflows into sounds. In the Bible God is called "The
Happy God." There is ...
