WHERE ARE THE DEAD?
Jesse M. Hendley
II Corinthians 5:8
Now friends, if you have your Bibles, turn with me to
II Corinthians 5:8. Remember this verse. You will need
it sometime. We are discussing "Where Are the Dead?"
Where are the people we love who have died? Where are
they today? That is important for us to know. We have
the answer in the Word of God. It comes from this
verse. I know it will be a blessing to your heart.
This message originated because of a letter that a
lady wrote to me. She said, "Dear Brother in Christ:
People are telling me that there is no one in heaven
now, not even Jesus, that when you die, you just sleep
until the resurrection, and then the saved will go to
heaven and the lost will go to hell. I want to know
the truth about this. I hope the Lord will lead you to
bring a message on this. I am so sure that my husband
and all my dear loved ones are there (meaning heaven),
and that makes life here sweeter, as I am looking
forward to meeting them soon. At my age, almost 89
years, I know it can't be long. Please pray for me, as
I want to get closer to my blessed Lord and Savior
each day. God bless and keep you and yours ever in His
love. Sincerely," and she signed her name.
"Know the Scriptures"
It is wonderful to have the Scriptures, isn't it?
Wonderful in the babel of voices. There are many
voices out there. If you listen to everybody that you
come in contact with who say they know what they are
talking about and do not, you certainly will be
disturbed. So learn your Scriptures.
Where are the dead? Where is my husband, or my wife,
or my son, or my daughter, or my dad, or my mother,
whom I love dearly, and hope and plan to meet again?
How may I meet them? I am going to give you the answer
to this; very plainly, from the Bible and leave it up
to you to judge for yourself if this isn't exactly
what the Bible says.
