THIS MAN---JESUS

Hebrews 10:12, Hebrews 3:14
"But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for
sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God."
Hebrews 10:12.
"For we are made partakers of Christ if we hold the
beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end."
Hebrews 3:14.
Here we have a CONTRAST. In Hebrews 10:12 we have,
"This man." Then in Hebrews 3:14, "We." There is a
vital connection between this Man and us! A very VITAL
CONNECTION. For THIS MAN has YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY IN
HIS HANDS! He has MY eternal destiny in His hands.
"This Man" is the Lord Jesus Christ. "After He offered
one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down on the
right hand of God." Let us look at "This Man," the
Lord Jesus Christ. It is very interesting that in the
Greek it is one word: houtos. "This One." Or, "This
Man." That's all right; it is a good translation.
Literally, it is "This One," singled out of all the
people who have ever been born in this world. THIS
ONE, THIS MAN, is the One Who has OUR DESTINY in His
hands! This is the ONLY MAN who can bring HOPE to you
and to me, to see our departed loved ones again. He is
the ONLY One. THIS MAN is the only one who can bring
us forgiveness of sins. THIS MAN is the only one who
can give the guilty conscience peace and wash away its
stain! THIS MAN is the only one who can give us hope
of an eternal life! THIS MAN is the only One who can
help us in the hour of death. Everything we have or
hope for is in the hands of THIS MAN, THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST, the GREATEST ONE IN ALL THE WORLD.
It is wonderful to think about HIM. There is one thing
dead sure, that I have determined about my own
ministry: it is going to have more "JESUS" in it than
it has ever had before! THIS MAN is going to be the
theme of my preaching, more than ever before, because
JESUS CHRIST is the Only Answer to human need! "THIS
MAN."
