GOD AT WORK IN HUMAN HISTORY

Revelation 1:9

If you have your Bibles, will you turn with me to
Revelation 1:9. Here we have the marvelous words of
John. The Prologue is verses 1-3. Then in verse 4, we
read, "John, to the seven churches, which are in
Asia." John, the writer is John the beloved apostle
who leaned on Jesus' breast, the man to whom God gave
these sublime revelations, in order that he might give
them unto us. "To the seven churches." Those were
literal churches and God commanded that John write
these things down not only for the seven churches in
Asia, which have long since passed away, but also, for

because of lack of reverence for His Words. Then
again, they may not understand because of sin in the
life, and sin grieves the Spirit of God that He cannot
speak to us as He would if we were in touch with Him.
So we must be born again of the Spirit of God, and we
must live in accordance with the teachings of God's
Holy Word, so that there is nothing in the way, that
we might hear what the Spirit of God is saying.

Now notice this man John. In verse 9, we read, "I
John, who als ...
