THE ONENESS OF THE BELIEVER WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

John 17:23
All through the Word of God, we find that the LORD is
to be in us, to dwell in us, to walk in us, and that
we are in Him. "I in them and they in Me," He says in
John, the seventeenth chapter. The believer is to
dwell in Christ and Christ is to indwell the believer.
There is to be a ONENESS of the believer with Christ.
Now that truth involves THREE things and this message
will search our very hearts today, everyone of us who
name the Name of Christ. Do YOU name the name Christ?
Have YOU made a profession as a Christian? If so, this
message is going to burn your heart. It has burned my
heart to realize the ONENESS---MY oneness---with the
Lord Jesus Christ. This message has three truths:
First of all, HIS PASSION IS OUR PASSION.
Second, HIS PROGRAM IS OUR PROGRAM.
Third, HIS POWER IS OUR POWER.
Passion
His passion is our passion! That is, the passion of
the Lord Jesus Christ is the same passion that should
be in the heart of every true child of His, because HE
INDWELLS US. What is meant by "passion?" It means the
things that moved Him to come into this world and
accomplish His tremendous work. The same things that
moved Jesus Christ should move us today.
Now what are the things that moved Jesus Christ, and
should move us?
First of all, LOVE TO GOD! We ought to love God our
Father. We ought to love Him because He created us. We
ought to love Him because He sustains us. He gives us
every breath we breathe, every bit of food we put into
our mouths, the clothes we have on our Backs, our
loved ones, our friends, our work, and everything we
enjoy. They are all His gifts to us. Without God our
Father, we could not be alive. In Him we live and move
and have our being. Jesus Christ LOVED God the Father.
He came into this world and it was the passion of His
life to please God the Father and to do the things
