IS AMERICA IN BIBLE PROPHECY

People often ask questions about America in Bible
prophecy. America is not specifically mentioned in
Bible prophecy, but other nations are. And from
America's relationship with those nations we can
understand something about her place in the future.
First, it is important that we study the background.

From Ezekiel 38 and 39 we know that Russia will invade
the Holy Land. And from the apparent inability of any
nation to deter her aggression, we may infer that
America will not be the strong military power that she
is today.

It is frightening to see a map of the areas Russia is
controlling, though recently she appears to be losing
her grip. Russia has kept on increasing her military
strength. She has great stockpiles of armaments and
military hardware. America's leaders have said that we
just have to be prepared by maintaining our own
strength. Russia will rise again.

America Will Be Unable To Stop Russia
According to the prophecy of Ezekiel, when Russia
invades the Holy Land we will not be able to stop her.
For a while we let our military strength decline while
Russia was building up her armaments. What she will do
in the future will be important to watch.

The invasion of Israel will end when the Lord destroys
Russia's armies, burns her cities with fire, and the
people of Israel are converted to God.

Ezekiel 38:13 tells us that there will be powers in
the land defending Israel against this invasion.
"Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with
all the young lions thereof shall say to you [Russia],
`Have you come to take a spoil? Have you gathered your
company to take a prey? To carry away silver and gold,
to take away cattle and goods, to take a great
spoil?"' Obviously, that is the language of the powers
defending Israel against that invasion.
