IS THE WORLD READY FOR THE ANTICHRIST

The Antichrist is the powerful, cruel, devil-inspired
world leader who will oppose God in the coming
tribulation period. I don't know the answer to every
question about the Antichrist, but I do want to share
with you what God has given to me. I don't expect
everyone to agree with everything I say, but I do say
what I believe from my studies in the Word of God.
Is the Antichrist alive? Is he on earth today? I don't
know, but I do know that the nations of the world are
in a mess and are looking for a strong man to lead
them. Without question, the world is ready to receive
the Antichrist. We see the European nations coming
together politically and economically, and now they
are talking about a Euro-corps, the creation of a
European army. The 10-nation military alliance may be
formed very soon and the Antichrist may appear on the
scene to destroy three of the original ten leaders, as
prophesied. So the Antichrist could very well be alive
right now.
Jesus said, "I have come in My Father's name, and you
received Me not. One is coming in his own name, and
him you will receive" (John 5:43). He was referring to
the coming Antichrist. He must have said it with an
aching heart, knowing that His own people Israel would
reject Him. The world has rejected the Lord Jesus
Christ. One time I spent a whole year in the gospel of
John, and the truth that was so impressed on my heart
was the world's rejection of the Son of God. As you
read through John, you can feel the mounting
opposition to Christ. We must remember that Christians
have always been very few in number compared with the
masses of unbelievers.
