THE GREAT JUDGMENT

Matthew 25:31

In chapter 25 of Matthew and verse 31, the great time
of the judgment is revealed unto us. First of all, we
have the tremendous drama of His coming, in verse 31.
Secondly, we have the great day when before Him shall
be gathered all the nations of earth. Next we have
His conversation and sentence to sheep on His right
hand. And then we have His conversation and sentence
to the goats on His left hand. It is a solemn, solemn
theme, beloved, and we need it today for we are in
days of crisis and our Lord is soon coming again. Here
He has laid out what will take place. So if we are not
ready to meet Him or if we are living contrary to His
will, it won't be His fault, for He has given to us
all we need to know right here in the Word of God. So
let us hear the Word of the Lord.

First of all, we read of the tremendous drama of the
return of Jesus in verse 31. These are His own words,
in one sentence. "When the Son of man shall come in
His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then
shall He sit upon the throne of His glory." Christ is
sitting on His Father's throne now. His throne is not
on this earth. This earth is occupied now by the
thrones of the governments of earth, by ungodly, Satan
energized men. But it is not always going to be so.
Christ is coming again. He will take the throne of
this entire earth and will rule this earth with a
righteous rule for one thousand years. That's the
prediction of the Word of the Living God. In those
days all men shall bow before Him. Kings shall serve
Him and be His footstool.

Now notice, "When the Son of man SHALL come." He is
coming again as surely as He came the first time. If
He ever came the first time, then He is coming again
and this is undeniable. Jesus Christ, the Son of God
says He SHALL come. And He means just that. He will
come as surely as He came the fir ...
