THE GLORY OF CHRISTIAN SERVICE

Romans 10:14-15

For our message for today, I would like for you to
turn to Romans 10:14 and 15, and we want to think
about The Glory of Christian Service. We read,
"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall
be saved." That means that everyone in the world can
be saved, if they will only call upon the name of the
Lord Jesus. That is what Jesus is: the Saviour.

Then comes the question: "How then shall they call on
Him Whom they have not believed? And how shall they
believe on Him of Whom they have not heard? And how
shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they
preach except they be sent? Even as it is written, how
beautiful are the feet of them that bring glad tidings
of good things. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by
the Word of Christ."

There are five HOW'S. How shall these people be saved
if we do not bring them to the Lord Jesus Christ?
Every one of us will give an account of this at the
Judgment Seat of Christ.

It is wonderful to be in the service of the Lord.
Daniel Webster, the great statesman and orator, spoke
one time in Boston in 1852 and he emphasized the great
service anyone renders who teaches God's Truth to
others. He said, "If we work upon marble, it will
perish. If we work upon brass, time will efface it. If
we rear temples, they will crumble to dust. But if we
work upon men's immortal minds, if we imbue them with
high principles, with the just fear of God and love of
their fellowman, we engrave on those tablets something
which time cannot efface, which will brighten and
brighten to all Eternity." Daniel Webster recognized
the privilege of being God's instruments in bringing
His Truth to all men. That is the summation of a great
man about the Gospel of the Lord Jesus and the
privilege it is that you and I have in teaching others
