THE SECRET OF TRUE PEACE
Jesse M. Hendley
I Corinthians 15
These are days in which the world is seeking peace.
People everywhere are reading what is written on the
subject of Peace. But REAL PEACE is found only through
the Word of God. We need to look there for the Truth.
I pray that the Lord will show us the secret of peace
as we look into His Word.
Now I am reading to you from First Corinthians, the
fifteenth chapter. "But now hath Christ been raised
from the dead, the Firstfruits of them that are
asleep. For since by man came death, by man come also
the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die,
so also in Christ shall all be made alive."
All mankind is divided into one of these two classes:
either you are in Adam or you are in Christ. If you
are not a Christian, you are in Adam, and you will
die, and that death is eternal death. But if you are
in Christ you are not in Adam and you will be made
alive in the Lord Jesus, and that life is eternal.
"But each in his own order. Christ the Firstfruits,
then they that are Christ's at His coming. Then cometh
the end, when He shall deliver up the kingdom to God,
even the Father, when He shall have abolished all rule
and all authority and power. For he must reign till He
hath put all His enemies under His feet. The last
enemy that shall be abolished is death. For He put all
things in subjection under His feet. But when God
saveth all things are put in subjection, it is evident
that He is excepted Who did subject all things under
Him. And when all things have been subjected under
Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subjected to
God that did subject all things under Him, that God
may be all in all."
Here we have a tremendous statement. We read first
that GOD HAS SUBJECTED ALL THINGS TO CHRIST. All
things have been subject to Christ, arrayed unto
Christ. Christ has the authority over all things.
Christ is the Master over all things. He ...
