THE TWO MOST TERRIBLE THINGS ON EARTH
Jesse M. Hendley
Psalm 1:1-3
James 5:20
Ephesians 2:1

The two most terrible things on earth, according to
God, are SOUL-DEATH and EXPOSED SINS. I said,
"According to God." I mean, as God sees things; from
His viewpoint; looking down at mankind from His
vantage point in Heaven; from the perspective of
eternity. From the eternal viewpoint, the most
tremendous facts are THE DEATH OF A HUMAN SOUL and THE
THOUSANDS OF UNFORGIVEN SINS FACING EVERY INDIVIDUAL
OUT OF CHRIST! God sees things AS THEY ARE. God sees
the truth. Man's opinion may be faulty, erroneous,
biased. Man may not be able to think and see clearly
because he is weak. Certainly in moral, spiritual,
eternal values man is incapable of forming a perfect
opinion. Man cannot trust his reasoning in eternal
matters. That is why God gave us the Bible. It is
filled with His opinions and viewpoints, which are
always true and never faulty. We can build on what God
says in The Book. It is SETTLED, and that FOREVER!
That is why He urges us to "meditate" in this Word day

thinks, know the things that are important concerning
our lives here and hereafter. In this Book, we can see
TRUTHFULLY all that respects our blessedness, the
blessedness of our loved ones, and of all mankind.

verse of the Book of James. (5:20.) "Let him know that
he which converteth (turneth back) a sinner from the
error of his way, shall SAVE A SOUL FROM DEATH and
shall HIDE A MULTITUDE OF SINS."

Here we learn what is the greatest work in the world!
TURNING A SINNER BACK TO GOD FROM THE ERROR OF HIS
WAY! God says nothing is more important. There is
nothing greater you can do for God, someone else or
yourself than TURN PEOPLE FROM SIN TO GOD. God help
each of us as we read these pages to say in our
hearts, "Amen, Lord ...
