What do you think is the most often ignored command in the whole Bible? Maybe you're like worship God. Maybe be holy, maybe love others. Nope. Most often ignored command in the Bible is fear not, and I know it's most often ignored because it's most often repeated. That, that command to do not be afraid shows up hundreds and hundreds.
It's more repeated in the Bible than any other command. And here's what I know. I know that you don't have to repeat something that's being paid attention to. Like when my kids were little, sometimes we'd do like special dessert after dinner, and so we'd say, go play while we get dessert ready.
And then we get the whipped cream and the sprinkles on it. And then we'd say, Hey girls, come get dessert. Never had to repeat that command. Not even once. On the other hand, the command, eat your Lima beams. We said that a lot. Be nice to your sister. Highly repetitive request, right?
You don't have to repeat something that's being paid attention to. So the fact that the Bible repeats the command to do not be afraid so often tells me it's the most often ignored command in the whole Bible. And listen I know something about you. And it's not because I'm a prophet. It's not 'cause I have Pastor powers.
I wish I had pastor powers. It's just 'cause I know people. Okay. I know that there's an area of your life where you are struggling to obey God's command to do not be afraid. I know that. I know there's an area in my life. There's more than one. Actually, just this week I was talking with one of my mentors in ministry and, and he asked what was going on in Mission Mills. I said, oh, I'm pretty exciting. We're launching our cast rock campus and it's going really well. And he goes, Hey what campus number is that for you guys? And so it's number four. And he goes, oh. And I was like, I don't like where this is going already.
