So I wanna talk to you today about what your skepticism might be costing you. And I know some of you're like uhoh. How does he know? How does he know that? Even though I'm sitting in church, I'm actually skeptical about church. Or even though I'm listening to a message about God, I'm actually skeptical about this whole.
God and Jesus thing. And if that's you, I just wanna tell you, you don't need to be nervous. We're really glad that you're here. But I do want you to lean in because it may be that you're gonna find the day that God wants to speak to you about how your skepticism is actually costing you something really good that he wants to bring into your life.
But I also know that most of you were not skeptical enough 'cause you don't think you are skeptical you're skeptical of the possibility that you are skeptical, which by definition means that you are skeptical. But I know you're skeptical of that because the reality is, I think a lot of people think I'm not skeptical about who God is.
I'm not skeptical about Jesus. I'm not skeptical about faith. I'm sold out. But here's the thing I've figured out over the years in my life, maybe it's true in yours, is just 'cause I think I'm sold out doesn't mean that I'm not also holding out. That there's not areas of my life where I'm skeptical that God's calling me into something and I'm skeptical, and I find myself going, is that really you, God, you wouldn't really want me to do that, right?
Anybody ever had that experience? You had this little sense that God may be calling you to something, but you're skeptical. Maybe that's not really God. Maybe it's. Maybe it's just my pastor. Maybe it's Craig. It's actually his fault. It's not the voice of the spirit, right? So I'm skeptical. It's, God, sometimes I'm skeptical that it really matters, right?
