Hey, welcome to Mission Hills, whether you're joining us in person and there's a few less of you in person today 'cause it's snowing in Colorado. So maybe you're joining us online, in which case wimps No we're so glad that you're with us. We're so glad we're able to to provide that opportunity for you to join us.
And we're glad you're with us today, however you're joining us. Before we get into the message though, I just wanna talk a little bit about Friday night. I was here. My wife and I were here dressed as explorers. I had a little monkey on my shoulder and. My, yeah, my wife dressed me just in case you're wondering.
Yes. That was not what I would've chosen, but we were here in costume and we just, honestly just blown away. If you've never seen 1800 middle school students in one room. Whew. Like I, I was watching, and honestly the most amazing part of it for me was when Joey, our middle school pastor, who by the way is new, he's only been with us two months.
Like we threw that dude into the fire, right? We're like, Hey, welcome. By the way, in, in eight weeks, this is what you gotta do. And he had to get up here and he had to try to cut through the chaos and it was absolute chaos. Y'all 1800 middle school students hyped up on candy, but also the band was amazing.
They had them singing and so there's just all this energy. And then Joey got up and had to share the gospel and I was watching him try to cut through the chaos and share the gospel. And I remember thinking, I am so glad I don't have to do that. 'cause it just, it felt like an impossible task. And he got to the end of it.
And again, there's all this energy going on and they had made a plan that was, I, I didn't know about it until I got here. And the plan was we're not gonna have 'em fill out comic cards if they wanna say yes or anything like easy like that. We're gonna make 'em c ...
