We continue our "Calm in the Chaos" series in 1 John 2. Our culture today offers us more or less (depending on your perspective) than ever before. We find shifting beliefs, false teaching, moral uncertainties, and a myriad questions which needs answers. Some questions might be, "Why am I here," "What is my purpose," "How can I find inner peace and joy," "What happens when I die," "How can go to heaven,? and/or "How can I be sure?" We don't have to guess, speculate, or hope because the Bible offers HIS answers for you (and me) and that is the title of our message today, "His Answers for You." The Bible is the answer book for all of life and more importantly, your life. (TEXT).

The Big answer is in those last 3 WORDS! For two Chapters, John has given us some great counsel for life on earth. Have joy, know what to do, know what not to love, and don't mess up this life. Now, very personally, he's pointing to his us with 4 answers anchored by one truth; Remain in Him!

1. The Plan for You - VS 24 - This is so clear to me. When I read this verse, the Lord is saying, "I want you to be saved, sanctified, Spirit-filled, and secured." It doesn't get simpler. Look at how John communicates it. Two times he writes, "That which you have heard" which is a repetition of how he opened this book. He said, "That which 'was', you've heard it, seen it, and touched it, so IT'S REAL. Is your relationship with Jesus real? Sometimes during worship we sit around half asleep and, I'll be candidly, I wonder if it's real to us! When something is real to us, we are really interested. You got your first car, tractor, boyfriend, or girlfriend? Yes sir, they are REAL! Is your relationship with Jesus REAL? When something is real to you, you tend to stay with it!
