Now we just ended a series called AGAINST ALL ODDS -

We go from Saul being anointed, David on the run to the 2nd time Saul tried to kill David.

- Saul was made King and disobeyed

Saul has a bad case of partial obedience which we know partial obedience is still disobedience.

- David was anointed

God doesn't choose the most qualified-He chooses the most surrendered."

- David took out Goliath in the name of the Lord.

Your giants aren't obstacles to defeat you-they're opportunities for God to show His power and fulfill His purpose. Let your faith lead, even when the odds are against you."

- Saul's jealous heart: Jealousy is the root of misplaced focus, turning hearts away from gratitude and God's purpose."

- Jonathan and David's Friendship - Jealousy kills friendships. Selflessness builds them

- David on the Run and in the Cave - Your refining season is not your greatest season but your most needed season for God to prepare you for your next season.

Today starts a new series called Crowned Yet Grounded.

David is almost done w/ his development.

His training

He testing season to see if he is ready for his crowing.

Saul never went through the development and it became his downfall.

Now to get to the crowing we have to see the current crown fall.

No way David is just going to take over.

We see that in 1 Samuel 31. That last chapter of 1 Samuel.

Now some crazy stuff happens in I Samuel 27 - 31. I will try to give you a top-level view so you can feel the weight and learn the lessons of Saul's Death.
