- Today is the day, over the last three weeks we've been moving toward this moment. Today, we conclude our series, This Is Church! And we are giving you the opportunity to join us in ministry and mission here at Second. I hope many of you are planning to take that step of faith today. *If no one comes, the invitation time might be a bit awkward for me. But, I know the Lord is in control. And all I want, and what you should want, is God's will for your life, your family, and His church.*

- If you haven't been with us for this series, let me see if I can give you a brief summary. We have already talked about What Church Membership Means and Why Church Membership Matters. Today, I'm going to ask the question, What Are You Waiting For? Here's what I mean by that. If we know what biblical church membership is, and we know why it matters, what are you waiting for? What's keeping you from taking the step to join the church?

- We're going to look at several passages of Scripture today, but for the sake of our introduction, I just want to read one passage from Hebrews 10:24-25. Here, we are encouraged to be faithful to gather together with the people of God on a regular and consistent basis. READ TEXT

- *I heard about an elderly woman walked into a church. The friendly usher greeted her at the door and helped her up the flight of steps, "Where would you like to sit?" he asked politely. "The front row please," she answered. "You really don't want to do that," the usher said "the pastor is really boring." "Do you happen to know who I am?" the woman inquired. "No." he said. "I'm the pastor's mother," she replied indignantly. "Do you know who I am?" he asked. "No." she said. "Good," he answered.*1
