About 150,000 people die every day or about 60 million a year.
We face death every time we lose a loved one or when we attend a Memorial Service. They are reminders that eventually we all die. My grandfather Jesse died of a heart attack when he was 62 years old while bowling and my father Gordon died when he was just 65 years old after two years with a brain tumor.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.
All the world is a hospital and every person in it a terminal patient.
Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed to man to die once.

God made man in two stages which reflect man's two parts.
First, God created Adam's body formed from the dust of the earth.
Second, God created his soul when he "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life." Our soul is our person which includes our mind, desires, emotions, passions and thoughts - it is who we are.
