INTRODUCTION
Take your Bibles and turn with me to 2 Corinthians chapter 1. This is one of the most practical, personal, and needed messages I will have shared with you in a long, long time. This morning, we will learn what it means to be "Comforted to Be a Comfort."
We've been in a series of messages here on Sunday mornings at Abilene on what is known as the victorious Christian life that I've titled "Living Above." These are lessons for living in victory.
You see, when you got saved -
It wasn't the end; it was the beginning.
- That wasn't the pinnacle of your Christian life; it was just the base.
Like I've shared with you every week in this series, "When you were born again, you were born to win." Jesus didn't save you so that you could live under your circumstances. He saved and redeemed you; the Holy Spirit empowered you, and the Father enabled you to live above your circumstances.

This morning's message may sound like it doesn't belong in this series. Still, the more I've thought and prayed about it, the more I'm convinced that what I will share with you today is one of the most important - again, practical and personal - lessons you'll ever learn as a Christian. And it is absolutely part of and flows out of the victorious Christian life.
