How Most Fairy Tales Begin

There's the story of a four-year-old who tugged on her dad who had been watching political ads and begged him to stop and read her a fairy tale. Weary of watching the ads, he agreed and began reading the fairy tale. No sooner had he begun, however, than she interrupted him and asked, "Daddy, do all fairy tales begin with 'Once upon a time?'"

He responded, "No, sweetheart, most fairy tales begin with, 'And when I'm elected...'"

In the scriptures before us, we find King David proclaiming to offer up "Tales of Thanksgiving" as he goes down to the house of the Lord. It seems that in the midst of his trials and tribulations, the king wanted to focus on God, rather than focus upon the grief that surrounded him.

In going down to the Lord's house, he was able to find peace, he was able to be in the presence of his God. The passion that was in his heart shined forth, as he washes his hands, portraying that he wanted to be pure in the presence of the Lord, as he freely and fervently worshipped him. As he faced the rigors of being the King of Israel, we find David finding solace in the House of the Lord.

Let us watch as King David offers up terrific "Tales of Thanksgiving!!!"
