Title: Feeding the Multitude (5)
Series: Meals with Jesus
Author: Josh Malone
Text: Mark 6:30-44

It could be you inviting people over and preparing a meal, or going over a to a parent or sibling's house. It could be like 8 people. However, it could be HUGE, it could be lots of people ... if you have a large extended family. - In those cases ... you are feeding lots of people and it is usually a TEAM EFFORT. - Someone makes X, someone else makes Y, and another person makes Z ... and some ... some ... have to bring cups and ice.
- Feeding lots of people is a lot of, and requires help. - Unless ... you are Jesus.
- Jesus fed a multitude of people ... 5,000 men not counting women and children ... in one sitting ... and not only that he did it with very little.
- The feeding of the multitude teaches some things about Jesus. - It reveals Him to be the One who can truly fill and satisfy our lives. It teaches us important truth about Jesus and what He can do in and through our lives ... when we trust and follow Him day by day. For Jesus became like us in terms of His humanity ... but He's not like us in that He is God the Son, the Son of God, the Messiah.
Mark 6:30-44 - 30 The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while."
