Socrates said, "An unexamined life is not a life worth living." As authentic Christ-followers, we should expect for our lives to be examined, thus our series of "Do we or don't we." Candidly, I believe we do, but the things we say we believe can always withstand a little Biblical scrutiny - 'if we tell the truth.' As you know, we are working our way through our "Core Beliefs" (Screen)We have already asked "Do we believe that the Bible is our Guidebook" and "Do we believe that God loves us and has a plan for us?" If we do, then our lives are lived by asking, "What does the Bible say" and "What Does God want me to do?"
Today we ask the question "Do all people matter to God" or, better said, "Do we believe all people matter to God?" For me, it is even "Does the Bible teach that All people matter to God, because if they do, then they should matter to me, you, and every born-again believer.
PUT A PAUSE RIGHT THERE and consider "EVERY BORN-AGAIN CHILD OF GOD." Today, I am speaking to those who have a personal relationship to Christ, BUT if there is someone here who doesn't have a relationship with God through Christ Jesus, allow me to remind you how you can. Our listed core beliefs can be birthed in the Lord Jesus and His ministry. The Bible tells us:
1) that we are sinners by nature and choice.
2) That the payment for our sin is death (physical and eternal)
3) That shed blood is the required payment for our sin
4) Jesus shed His blood for our sin and raised from the dead to make us right before God
5) We must repent of our sin and invite Jesus to be our Savior and Lord.
6) He becomes your Savior, Leader, Friend, and Guide. (It happens when you give it all to Him)
For me, I consider this the greatest news of all times! Now, let's examine our hearts.
