Many years ago, I heard a preacher tell a story about two babies (a set of twins) that were still in the womb... but they were having a conversation. One baby said to the other baby, "Do you believe in life after birth?" The other baby responded and said, "Of course not! This is all there is. We live in the dark... we're fed through this cord in our belly... this is all there is."

But the first baby persisted... and said, "But what if there's more!?! What if there's a whole world out there waiting for us? What if there's air to breath, and light to see? What if we could experience things, beyond our imagination?"

When he said that, the second baby said... "That's ridiculous, why would you even think that's a possibility? No one has ever come back from 'after birth' to tell us anything close to that." He said, "Trust me, this world is all we've got."

In the same way (for a baby) there is life after birth... for us (as believers) there is lifeafter death. But sometimes, in this life... we get so consumed with this world... that it's pretty difficult to even imagine, life beyond the grave.

Life for many of us... could be compared to a caterpillar... It spends day-after-day crawling around the ground, eating leaves, and living a limited life with no understanding of what's to come.

To the caterpillar, life is all about the here and now... it's about surviving one more moment, and existing one more day... A caterpillar lives in order to have its needs met... and it can't imagine anything beyond is current form.

But then one day, after living a confined life on the ground... the caterpillar enters a cocoon. From the outside, that has to seem like the end; Right? ...a cocoon is like a coffin, there's confinement, and darkness, and no sign of life. I'm sure to other caterpillars who are watching, it's pretty ...
